Natasha Lidow Natasha Lidow

A playful fantasy of color, texture, light and
material mixture – these are the works of "Natal" (Natasha Lidow). To Natal, the most significant message her works must exude is the absolute lack of seriousness. Their very significance is in the fairy-tale like humorous delivery – with a touch of occasional villainous darks, her works remain bright and reflect the full euphoria of life the artist is committed to explore through painting.

All jokes aside, Natasha Lidow is a very serious achiever. She moved to the US from Moscow, Russia in 1975, had a successful dental practice and raised three children, before re-planting herself in SW Florida.

Natasha began to study art only ten years ago. She attended Northwestern University and Palette and Chisel Academy of Fine Arts in Chicago, but especially enjoys the art classes under the tutelage of Rona Steingart in Naples, FL. Her works reflect the advancement she made in these short years. She loves to work with acrylics, and has achieved some commercial success in flower arranging and glass vase decorative painting.

She hopes that by expressing the full spectrum of emotion in her art she will reach the "inner child" within her viewers and re-teach them how to look at the old tired world with forgotten innocence of inexperience, as if mysteriously capturing time through a kaleidoscope lens.
