Nancy Banks
My journey as an artist began in the quaint village of Park Ridge,
IL, a suburb of Chicago. My childhood interest in interpreting the
world around me led to classes at the Art Institute of Chicago and my
receiving a National Scholastic Art award in high school. Moving
to Naples in 2001 allowed me to continue my journey of self discovery as
an artist working with color and light to interpret the world as I see
it.
Of the many great teachers I have had, my current teacher, Rona Steingart, has led me to new paths of creativity. My work has been
shown and sold locally at the Von Liebig Art Center in Naples, the Art
League of Bonita Springs, the Bonita Springs City Hall, and various
other shows.
